This magnificent Bornean endemic Pheasant is highly sought-after by birders, but it's one of the most shyest and wariest ground birds in Borneo. It often associates with wild boars and follow them on their migrations.
Dulit Frogmouth
This little-known and mysterious endemic Frogmouth has only been patchily recorded in some of the remote mountains in Borneo. But, a birding tour to Sarawak will give birders a good opportunity to see it.
Black Oriole
One of the star birds for birding in Borneo. It was rediscovered in 2010 and ever since then, birders have better opportunities to tick off more than 50 endemic species off their birding lists in a three weeks’ tours in Borneo.
Hose's Broadbill
One of the most wanted Broadbills for twitchers, but it is the toughest bird to find among all of the Broadbills in Borneo. Very shy and wary, but chances of seeing it is better in the highlands of Sarawak.
Bornean Frogmouth
The status of this endemic Frogmouth is stated as a rare resident in the hills and mountainous forests, but our expeditions and birding tours found that it is the most commonest Frogmouth among the 6 species found in Borneo. It was recorded as low as 60m above sea level in the lowland forest.
