One of the most wanted endemic Pittas in Borneo, but it is one of the hardest pittas to find, requiring lots of patience and experience to get it into view.

This Pitta is a highly sought-after endemic bird. Very shy and elusive but a birding tour to Sarawak gives birders a good opportunity to see it.

One of the most beautiful Borneo's Pittas. More common in eastern Borneo, and less common in western Borneo. Habitat loss is the main threat for this species.

Less challenging among the 4 endemic Pittas to see in Borneo. Easy to see it and common in Sabah but absent in other parts of Borneo.

The largest, shyest and rarest of the Bornean Pittas. Inhabits lowland and hill primary forest. Very fond of snails which it breaks open by smashing on a stone anvil. Species likelihood : Maybe seen, better chance in Sabah.
